Recently, U.S. News & World Report released its The 16 Roomiest Midsize SUVs in 2020 list — and two Hyundai models made the cut. The publication recognized the 2020 Santa Fe and 2021 Palisade for having some of the most spacious second-row legroom dimensions in the segment.
2020 Santa Fe
The 2020 Santa Fe received an interior score of 8.1 from U.S. News, one of highest ratings for midsize SUVs. The Hyundai Santa Fe offers a spacious layout, with 40.9 inches of legroom in the second row. The midsize SUV has standard 35.9 cubic feet of cargo volume with two rows up, and the cargo volume increases to 71.3 cubic feet with the rear row folded down. Previously, the Hyundai Santa Fe has also been recognized for its spacious interior before, making U.S. News’ 2020 Best New Cars for Teens list and winning the 2020 Best 2-Row SUV for the Money award.
2021 Hyundai Palisade
The 2021 Palisade earned the second-highest spot on the list with an interior score of 7.7. With seating for up to eight people, the 2021 Hyundai Palisade boasts second-row legroom of 42.4 inches and lets you easily access the third row. If both rear rows are folded down, you can store 86.4 cubic feet of cargo.
